Farewell for the summer

Well the rollercoaster season is finally over. Two trophies were won, and we got to the final game in two others. Although the season is tinged with disapointment, it was our best performance in a few years.

There should be at one or two meet-ups during the summer, both socially and to cover formal business (AGM).

Other than that, we would like to thank everyone who came along to make this probably the busiest season ever for the Big Apple Bears. We hope to see you in the Blue Room in late July!

Aberdeen; Cup Final; Party

Aberdeen game will be shown at 2.45pm on Thursday. The usual $10 cover charge will apply.

The Cup Final will be shown at 10am on Saturday.

We will also have a bit of a party during and after the Cup Final. There are a number of items planned, including free food (sausage rolls, etc). There will also be no cover charge for this game.

Motherwell and St Mirren Games

The Big Apple Bears will be screening the Motherwell game at 7.30am on Saturday, and the St Mirren game at 2.45pm on Monday.

We fully expect to be showing the Aberdeen game on Thursday but do not have confirmation yet. Please check back later in the week.

UEFA Cup Final

The Big Apple Bears are proud to present Rangers v Zenit, live at the Blue Room.

Kick-off is at at 2.45 but we expect the bar to be busy so if you can, get along early and secure your spot.

Since the game is on Fox Soccer Channel, there will be no cover charge for the game.

Also, we are currently planning our end of season party for the Scottish Cup Final on May 24. Details will be posted on this site soon.

Rangers v Dundee United, Saturday @ 7.30am

Another early start at the Blue Room, as we have one more game to take care of before the UEFA Cup final. If the main door is not open, try the side door just a few yards down 60th street, up the iron stairs.

The usual cover charge of $10 will apply.

The UEFA Cup Final will be shown at the Blue Room. More details later.

Rangers v Motherwell, Wednesday @ 2.45pm

The Big Apple Bears will be showing the Rangers v Motherwell clash live, with a 2.45 kick-off.

Usual cover charge applies: $10 per person.

Hibs v Rangers, Sunday @ 9am

Nurse your hangover with us at the Blue Room on Sunday morning. While we will be dreaming of Manchester, there is domestic business to be taken care of in a must win game for Rangers.

Please note that since the bar will not be officially open, entrance will most likely be by the side door, which is a few yards down 60th Street and up some iron steps.
